Hi, I’m Mark
Recruitment was a natural choice for me as I always knew I wanted to work with people, not always be locked to my desk and be able to achieve in an industry that has few limits. Wind the clock forward and I am leading a team I am immensely proud to call my colleagues and share my 25 years' experience with. I have been fortunate enough to work across the US, Europe, Middle East, Hong Kong and Singapore along with my primary focus in the UK.
I bring a breadth of knowledge to the table that covers Permanent, Contract & Leadership hiring with a real passion for getting the recruitment experience right. I genuinely love to help businesses build teams and make a defined contribution.
Pioneer Search is now fully immersed in the Lloyd’s of London and London Market sectors, and I am personally looking to work with CIO/COO/CTO/CDOs, providing Senior Search and Strategic Projects solutions.
My Background
Early days I was an Insurance Broker, with the past 25 years of my career having been spent building Technology and Transformation teams. At our core, the team at Pioneer Search is purposefully exacting driven by a highest standards culture and with our partnership approach to candidates and client’s alike, this feeds into our genuine desire to do an excellent job.
Why I built Pioneer
It might sound cliché, but I genuinely like what I do. When I exited my last business and took a year off, I realised I wanted to build another business so why not build something that you love to do!

Outside of work
Busy family life, travel and normally attending some kind sporting event at weekends.
