Role: Technical Business Analyst
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: London - Hybrid
Rate: £600 - £700 per day
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (TBC)
We are seeking a versatile Technical Business Analyst / Application Developer to support the build of a broker portal on the Websure Policy Administration System.
This role sits across business analysis, system configuration, & technical delivery, working closely with developers, business stakeholders, & end users. The successful candidate will be responsible for both requirements analysis & hands-on technical delivery, including SQL development, system configuration, & reporting.
This is a hybrid role requiring someone confident working across the full lifecycle from requirements gathering through to implementation & support. It is a mandatory requirement that candidates have experience supporting web portal builds on a Policy Administration System within the London Market. Websure experience is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, build, & enhancement of a broker portal on Websure
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional & technical specifications
- Build & execute SQL queries for reporting, analysis, & data validation
- Configure insurance systems to meet client & business requirements
- Develop MI & operational reports using tools such as Crystal Reports & MS Report Builder
- Work closely with developers, testers, & business users to deliver effective solutions
- Support system testing including test planning, execution, & defect resolution
- Assist with implementation & deployment of system changes
- Produce documentation including specifications, user guides, & technical documents
Key Requirements
- Strong SQL skills with experience in querying, reporting, & data analysis
- Proven experience working with insurance platforms / Policy Administration Systems (PAS) - Websure highly advantageous
- Experience supporting web portal or digital builds within a PAS environment is essential
- Strong experience within the Lloyd's / London Market is required
- Ability to configure systems based on business requirements
- Strong capability in interpreting & documenting complex business requirements
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical & non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently & take ownership of deliverables
