Solution Architect - Azure - Specialty Insurance - Hybrid - Outside IR35
Outside IR35 | 6-Month Initial Contract | Hybrid / Remote UK
Solution Architect urgently sought by leading Specialty Insurance Client.
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a cloud transformation programme for an initial 6-month contract engagement.
This opportunity would suit an architect with a strong background in Azure platform architecture, cloud migration strategy, landing zone design, governance, security, & enterprise-scale transformation initiatives.
You will provide architectural leadership during a critical phase of delivery, helping shape the Azure target state, define migration approaches, & ensure successful mobilisation of the wider engineering teams.
**Candidates will need to demonstrate deep Solution Architecture experience within Financial Services - specifically Specialty Insurance Industry**
Responsibilities
- Lead Azure estate discovery & current-state assessment activities
- Define cloud migration strategies & delivery road-maps
- Conduct Azure Landing Zone readiness assessments & make improvement recommendations
- Design secure, scalable, & resilient Azure-based solutions
- Provide architectural guidance across engineering, infrastructure, security, & delivery teams
- Establish technical governance, standards, & architectural best practices
- Manage cross-functional dependencies across multiple work-streams
- Support cloud adoption & migration planning activities
- Work closely with programme stakeholders to ensure alignment between business & technical objectives
- Facilitate knowledge transfer & support the wider architecture team
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect with deep Azure Cloud Expertise
- Extensive hands-on experience designing & delivering Azure solutions
- Strong understanding of Azure Landing Zones & Cloud Adoption Framework principles
- Experience planning & executing cloud migration programmes
- Excellent knowledge of Azure networking, identity, security, & governance models
- Experience working within large-scale enterprise transformation environments
- Ability to engage with technical & non-technical stakeholders at all levels
- Strong leadership & decision-making capability within complex delivery programmes
- Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-104, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code & cloud automation
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments & migration tooling
- Experience working within regulated or security-conscious environments
