Senior Project Manager urgently required
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major joint claims platform build for two established Insurance businesses. This is a strategically important initiative that has been in planning for some time & is now ready to move into full delivery.
This role will suit a hands on, delivery focused Senior PM who can work closely with in-house teams, drive structure & pace, & bring the right blend of agile delivery, system build oversight, & business change capability.
You will take ownership of a single, large scale transformation project: delivering a brand new joint claims platform on Microsoft Dynamics, built fully in house, with no external system integrator involvement.
You will use the high level designs & operating concepts already developed by a 3rd Party to guide the execution phase, working with internal stakeholders, SMEs, claims leaders, & technology teams to turn the designs into reality.
*Candidates must come from an Insurance background specifically specialty Insurance.
**This is a Hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week onsite in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of the full claims platform build for both clubs, using high level operating models & early designs as a baseline to drive execution.
- Work closely with internal engineers & product specialists, ensuring alignment between business requirements, system configuration, & future-state workflows.
- Run the project in an Agile environment, shaping ceremonies, cadence, delivery rhythms, & cross team collaboration.
- Align process, system, & operating model changes, ensuring that the new platform supports a redesigned way of working across claims teams.
- Oversee activity beyond the core build such as automation opportunities, workflow redesign, process standardisation, & readiness for a transformed claims function.
- Support migration planning, data activities, & transitional change, working closely with internal technical & operational leads.
- Manage the project's budget, risks, dependencies, & delivery milestones over a planned roadmap.
- Work under a close reporting structure with key Technology Directors along with close interaction with Claims Directors, ensuring visibility & clear communication across all parties
- Operate flexibly across related initiatives as needed reflecting the client's direction of scope
Essential Experience
- Strong experience as a Senior Project Manager delivering complex insurance technology projects.
- Proven track record working on core system builds or replacements (Dynamics experience highly advantageous).
- Hands on experience in Agile delivery with cross functional teams.
- Ability to align process design, system configuration, TOM elements, & business change into a cohesive delivery plan.
- Confidence managing stakeholders up to senior leadership level & navigating multiparty environments.
- Strong organisation, risk management, delivery planning, & RAID management.
- Knowledge of claims operations or claims system delivery.
- Exposure to major transformation involving automation, workflow redesign or TOM related workstreams.
