A specialist insurance & financial services organisation operating in a highly regulated environment is hiring a Senior EUC Engineer to take ownership of its Modern Workplace & executive computing estate.
The business sits within the specialty insurance market, with a strong focus on control, resilience, & operational excellence. This role plays a key part in ensuring the end user computing environment meets the expectations of a senior leadership team while remaining secure, stable, & scalable.
Reporting directly into the Head of IT, this is a senior technical role with clear progression into a lead position as the organisation continues to grow.
The role:
You will own the end user computing platform end to end, acting as the final escalation point for complex issues while driving proactive improvement across the Modern Workplace in a regulated insurance environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of the EUC & Modern Workplace environment across the organisation
- Acting as 3rd line escalation for complex endpoint & executive issues
- Designing & maintaining a dedicated executive computing environment
- Building & running lab & test environments to validate changes prior to rollout
- Driving platform improvements across Intune, Active Directory, & Microsoft 365
- Reducing incidents through proactive engineering, standardisation, & testing
- Partnering closely with IT leadership as a senior technical authority
- Contributing to technical roadmaps, documentation, KPIs, & standards
- Supporting future team growth & leadership as the business scales
There is some out of hours involvement when required, typical of senior roles in financial services environments, with a long-term focus on minimising reactive issues through strong engineering.
You:
This role suits a senior EUC or Modern Workplace engineer with experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated sectors, who values ownership & long-term quality.
You are likely to bring:
- Strong experience in a senior EUC, Modern Desktop, or Workplace engineering role
- Deep hands on knowledge of Intune, Active Directory, & Microsoft endpoint technologies
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders within regulated or high-control environments
- A proactive engineering mindset with a focus on prevention & resilience
- Understanding of the expectations & pace of financial services organisations
- Leadership capability, either through team lead experience or progression toward it
Experience with lab environments, Outlook performance troubleshooting, or mixed Windows & Apple estates would be beneficial.
