Fullstack Developer - Angular and .Net/C#
Fullstack Developer| £550-£650 per day | Outside IR35 | 6 Month Initial Contract London / Hybrid
A leading specialist insurer is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join a strategic modernisation programme within its Digital Distribution function.
You'll play a key role in reducing technical debt across business-critical broking platforms, helping to modernise legacy applications, improve release quality, & deliver new functionality across a mixed Azure & on-prem environment. This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges whilst helping shape engineering best practices across the wider team.
This position is front-end focused, with approximately 70% Angular development & 30% .NET backend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop & enhance modern Angular applications & user interfaces
- Build & maintain .NET APIs & backend services
- Refactor legacy code & contribute to technical debt reduction initiatives
- Support the modernisation of existing platforms & applications
- Improve deployment processes & release reliability
- Collaborate closely with architects, developers & business stakeholders
- Mentor developers & support knowledge sharing across the engineering function
- Champion engineering best practices, code quality & continuous improvement
Required Experience
- Extensive experience as a Full Stack Developer
- Strong Angular & TypeScript development experience
- Strong .NET / C# development experience
- Experience working on legacy modernisation, platform transformation or technical debt reduction projects
- Experience designing & consuming REST APIs
- Strong Azure cloud experience
- Experience working within CI/CD environments
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
- Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience
Nice to Have
- London Market, Specialty Insurance or Financial Services experience
- Experience with AI-enabled development practices
