Data Loss Prevention Specialist

I'm partnering with a leading Specialty Insurance organisation undergoing significant growth & continuous improvement across the business. We're looking for an experienced & detail focused DLP (Data Loss Prevention) Analyst to join the CISO function, where you'll play a critical role in protecting highly sensitive data across the enterprise.

 

In this role, you'll act as the first line of investigation, overseeing monitoring, analysis, & response to DLP alerts while supporting the strategic development of the organisation's data security capabilities. This is a high impact position suited to someone who thrives in regulated environments & understands the complexities of managing data risk at scale.

 

Please note: This role is Hybrid & requires 3 days per week in the office.
Only candidates with experience in Financial Services or other highly regulated industries will be considered.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, optimisation, & management of the organisation's DLP environment.
  • Implement & validate selected DLP tools, ensuring correct configuration & effectiveness.
  • Define, review, & maintain robust DLP policies.
  • Monitor, investigate, & analyse alerts across multiple DLP platforms.
  • Prioritise incidents based on risk levels & escalate high risk cases as required.
  • Collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement of DLP systems & processes.
  • Produce clear documentation & contribute to ongoing policy enhancements.
  • Drive awareness initiatives & identify training opportunities to reduce data breach incidents.
  • Work closely with third parties & internal teams to ensure regulatory & business specific requirements are met.

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven background in Security Operations with specific experience in DLP-focused roles.
  • Hands on experience with a range of DLP technologies (e.g., Symantec, Forcepoint, Microsoft Purview).
  • Strong understanding of data classification standards & regulatory requirements.
  • Experience using SIEM & security incident management tooling.
  • Excellent analytical skills & the ability to assess risk quickly & accurately.
