We are supporting a leading Specialty Insurer on a major transformation programme & are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join the team on an initial 6-month contract. Working closely with Solution Architects & fellow Data Architects, you will play a key role in defining the target data architecture across multiple strategic initiatives, including Underwriting Modernisation & PAS replacement.

A significant part of the role will focus on developing conceptual & logical data models, ensuring alignment between business requirements & target-state architecture. You will also be responsible for driving analytics capabilities & designing scalable data patterns & pipelines within an Azure & Snowflake environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define & own conceptual & logical data models across key transformation initiatives
  • Design scalable data patterns & pipelines to support analytical & operational workloads
  • Work closely with Solution Architects, Data Architects, & engineering teams to ensure alignment between business requirements & target architecture
  • Support the development of the enterprise data architecture across Azure & Snowflake platforms
  • Drive data standards, best practice, & governance across the programme
  • Collaborate with business & technical stakeholders across underwriting, operations, & technology teams

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a Data Architect within the London Market / Lloyd's insurance sector
  • Experience supporting Underwriting Modernisation & PAS replacement/modernisations
  • Strong experience with Azure & Snowflake platforms
  • Proven experience delivering data architecture within large-scale transformation programmes
  • Strong conceptual & logical data modelling skills
  • Experience designing data patterns, pipelines, & analytics solutions
