Support Engineer - Permanent - Shift Work - 16:00-00:30 - £30,000-£35,000 + Bonus + On-Call

Support Engineer sought for an exciting new role with a growing business.

An experienced Support Engineer, who is confident in 1st & 2nd line is required for a fast-growing technology lead consultancy business. Youll be working alongside an established industry lead who confidently takes pride in what they do.

***This role operates between the hours of 16:00 - 00:30 + weekend on call***

Youll be reporting to Senior Support Team Leader, you will provide technical support & maintenance for customers whilst working to best practice. There will be an expectation to continuously develop & acquire new skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

-Troubleshooting technical issues, including analysing traces, ensuring that all details are correctly logged into the ticket tracking system

-identify & determine issues within the Data or Telephony areas

-Maintain appropriate communication with all customers for all issues whilst also managing escalation calls

- Complete scheduled maintenance activities on live customer platforms, such as product patch & vulnerability patch updates, including system health checks & full product upgrades.

Required skills & experience

-Experience in 1st-2nd line Support in a shift environment

-Strong spoken & written communication

-Good Linux experience, CLI level

-Strong working knowledge of ISRs

-Good Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
