Security Architect sought for an instantly recognisable financial l services organization as part of their global cyber security team

Location - please note, my client are operating a 50:50 split between office and remote. Candidates must be committed to attending the office.

The Role:

• Work with security functions - provide guidance around technology choices
• Develop and maintain security architecture specifications
• Apply security design specifics to develop the security architecture
• Strategic direction of Security projects
• Proof of Concept
• Build strong, long-lasting relationships across the business and influence IT, Business and Product teams
• Communicate with Senior Business and IT Stakeholders and advise on appropriate security actions
• Act as a Security SME

Required Experience:

• Previous roles in a Security Architecture capacity
• Hands-on experience Architecting network, data centre and cloud solutions (IaaS & PaaS security)
• Vast experience in full end to end security processes and solutions
• Ability to be the technical bridge between various security teams
• Threat modelling
• Experience running or managing resources within a security function
• Experience of security assessments and remediations
• security technologies, such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Vulnerability Scanning, WAF, Wireless LAN, NAC, DLP, DDoS Mitigation, WAN security, SIEM, Content Filtering, Cloud Security gateways, Secure Proxies, SSL crypto solutions
• Strong knowledge and working experience with SDN (Software-Defined Networking), NFV (Network Function Virtualization), and network virtualization/overlays
• OpenStack, Cloud Foundry, Server Virtualization hypervisors (KVM, Xen, Hyper-V, VSphere), Linux Containers technologies (Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes), and distributed computing
• Cloud knowledge along with DevOps - a bonus
