Project Manager - Lloyds Insurance - Tax - Finance - IFRS17

A leading Lloyd's market insurer is looking for a Project Manager to join the Regulatory Change and Accountancy Team. The role sits in the Finance and Regulatory teams where the incumbent will get exposure to a number of different projects within the greater portfolio. This Project Manager will have exposure to senior stakeholders across the organisation and face off to external audit teams so clear, concise communication skills are essential here.

The client would like to streamline the process of the annual external audit and the Finance team would like to have this Project Managed. This Project Manager would also assist with the governance for the IFRS17 project as compliance draws closer and potentially work on other Finance / Regulatory programmes too.

This contract is an initial 12 months inside IR35 with an ASAP start date.


  • Work with the business to understand the culture of the organization and how they're currently set up from a technical standpoint
  • Define the deliverables and write project plans ensuring this is kept up to date at each stage of each project throughout the entire project life cycle
  • Develop and take responsibility for project budget and spend
  • Manage other change management resources & allocate work appropriately
  • Produce regular MI ensuring the board are regularly updated as to where the projects are
  • Work to a high level of autonomously to ensure milestones are met ensuring the projects don't fall behind
  • Recommend changes to the direction and steer of the project that seem fitting and timely
  • Execution of prepared Test strategy and plan
  • Ensure projects are delivered to time and budget

Requisite skills & experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience working on either Regulatory Change or Finance Change projects
  • Minimum of 2 years working as Project Manager within the Lloyd's of London insurance market
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable experience

  • Knowledge of IFRS 17 tax regulation
  • Accountancy degree
  • Experience working with external audit teams
