Principle MEMS Design Engineer for Automotive Inertial Sensors

A Principle Level MEMS Design Engineer with experience in IMUs such as Accelerometers and Gyroscopes is required for one of the worlds largest electronics companies.

The business are a true innovator, leading the world in design of highly innovative and ground breaking technology design, this is a major investment for the business.

You will be joining a brand new MEMS technology division aimed at pioneering automotive technology. With the backing of this organisation, as well as a significant budget for R&D you will be responsible for defining sensor design requirements and Accelerometer and Gyroscope design. As the Principle MEMS design engineer your technical responsibility will remain hands on however you will have significant oversight of the project direction and will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers.

This is a unique opportunity, joining a major innovator at the beginning of the project, as part of a brand new MEMS team you will be setting and defining the requirements for much of the Automotive MEMS design for the companies international operations.

Skills Required:

  • 7+ years in MEMS design for Inertial Sensors, specifically industrial experience.
  • Knowledge around the full development and design process, including characterization hardware for IMUs
  • Working in Inertial Sensors for Automotive applications desirable however candidates from Aerospace or Consumer will also be considered
  • PhD advantageous
