Platform Engineer (GCP)

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Google's No.1 European provider based in Central London and it has also been awarded top places to work in London. Working on behalf of my client I'm in search for Platform Engineer with commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform. As a Platform Engineer you will be working a number of projects based in London directly with Google and other large organisations within Banking, Government, Retail and Ecommerce and Public Sector.

While the focus of the role is on client engagements, you will also support innovative internal projects to develop new capabilities on GCP.

Responsibilities:

Running design workshops, creating solution design documentation, delivering presentations, working closely with the customer to scope project requirements and integration with their existing systems. Configuring GCP services, integrating with existing systems, Architecture, testing, optimising and implementing solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Designing and building mission-critical solutions on GCP
  • Implementing GCP foundation services (networking, compute, storage, databases, etc).
  • Worked on complex platforms for large organistion.
  • Proven experience in Architectural designs.
  • Knowledge of both Linux and Windows.
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Cloudformation/Terraform and Ansible/Puppet).
