Java Developer (Microservices)

My client is a leading Financial Services firm based in City of London seeking a Java developer with strong experience with Apache Camel, Integration, Microservices skills to work alongside the Team Lead and Architect to agree on design and developed solutions working on the Trading system, but also follow development guidelines.


  • Ensure the Team Lead and other parties are kept up to date with Progress and issues
  • Develop microservices, mailing using Java, Camel and Spring Boot
  • Contribute and be involved to the management of the project, giving input within the require time frames.
  • Provide accurate estimate for agreed specification to the Team Lead
  • Analyse business and system requirements and contribute to a solution design
  • Perform Unit testing for all coding and then provide support to any Quality Assurance and User Acceptance testing as deemed appropriate by the team lead.
  • Provide 3rd line support on a day to day basis dealing with all Enterprise Services.
  • Keep up to date with Technological development/ new projects


  • Proven track record and solid background in Enterprise Java Development, Apache Camel and has worked on Microservices environment like Openshift.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in project delivery using: SOA (Service Orientated Architecture, Camel and/or Microservices.


  • Ability to work to deadlines & be delivery focused
  • Willingness & aptitude to learn new skills and to contribute to the team's continuous improvement ethic
  • Must demonstrate a pro-active attitude
