IT Infrastructure & Facilities Manager

IT Infrastructure & Facilities Manager is required within a leading FinTech based in the City of London.

My client is a leader of solutions to the banking industry and have received a substantial investment to accelerate their growth. They require an IT Manager who can lead in all aspects of the companies front and back office systems as well as develop these systems to meet evolving business requirements. You will need to be able to lead and develop teams effectively and proactively suggest changes in IT strategy.

This is an opportunity for an individual who is currently managing IT Systems and eventually be a key figure in the production deployments and support of the company's key products.

The role

  • Support and maintain all aspects of the organisation's infrastructure
  • Lead a small team of IT and facilities professionals
  • Identify and implement technical changes to improve current systems, processes, and procedures
  • Ensure a robust Network Administration procedures and techniques are in place
  • Develop and maintain a robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan
  • Manage internal telephony infrastructure
  • Maintain Office 365 and Azure platforms
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing external IT partner relationships
  • Become the key point of contact for client technical support and consultancy where required
  • Take ownership of the day to day operations of the companies' buildings and premises, including but not limited to
    - Building security
    - Office and Ground maintenance
    - Management of small internal projects including relocations and desk moves

What skills you'll need

  • Proven background in implementing and maintaining IT systems and processes
  • A strategic approach to IT, including the ability to identify opportunities to improve existing systems
  • Strong knowledge of DR and BCP processes and procedures
  • Experience in IT Cloud & Hosting processes (Ideally Azure)
  • Experience in installing and maintaining IT hardware including systems, servers and datacentres
  • Prior line management experience, particularly in the IT support space
  • Good understanding of service delivery and IT best practices
  • Prior experience in facilities management
  • A background in Financial Services environments is highly desirable
