Digital CTO - Consumer, B2C, Broadcast, Media

Chief Technology Officer is needed for one of the largest Broadcast Media companies within the UK. We are looking for a technically astute individual that is able to lead on the development, implementation and delivery of technical roadmaps.

You will be acting as the lead on all of their next generation, digital products. This will encompass all decisions around technology and facing off with both the business/architects on how technology should be used moving forward.

For this you will need to come from a core engineering background. They are looking for that deep knowledge around innovative technology so you be the driver for shaping their five year roadmap. Because of this, if you've not come from a technical background, you would not be suitable for this position.

They have a platform that supports multiple consumer products and services (B2C) which they will be looking for you to drive into a new wave of technology. Experience around customer facing products (ideally subscription based) is going to be an essential.

You will be leading teams that are based around Software Engineering, Data, Front End Development, Testing, Enterprise Architecture and their Data Platform team. One of first challenges in this role is going to be winning over these teams with your grip on technology! They have a team of 100+ and so you will need a proven track record in such an environment with consistent delivery.

Role Essentials:

  • Experience in a Head of/CTO/VP position
  • Strong engineering background
  • Proven experience building Consumer Facing Digital Products. Ideally from industries such as eCommerce, Retail, FinTech, Gaming etc
  • Direct to consumer (DTC) experience
  • A "build to run mindset" - responsible for day to day operation on their platforms and products
