Pioneer Search has been engaged to recruit an exciting Business Analyst opportunity in Belfast for a global financial services firm. The company prides itself on its ability to help global investors preserve capital in a sustainable manner.

As a Business Analyst you will:

  • Support the delivery of Programmes and Projects by working with colleagues and other stakeholders to investigate and model business functions/processes, information flows and data structures
  • Investigate operational issues, problems and new opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in business areas or systems
  • Produce business requirements documentation, specification documentation and develop test plans and support scripts
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops, presenting findings and actions both verbally and in writing to the business
  • Assist in defining user acceptance tests for new or improved business processes and IT systems
  • Define holistic solutions that address organisational, people, processes, information and technology initiatives

The successful appointee will have:

  • A strong Business Analyst background in the Financial Services industry, ideally in Private Equity or Investor Services
  • Experience working on Straight Through Processing (STP) initiatives
  • Exceptional organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in performing a proof-of-concept exercise to evaluate the feasibility and benefits of applying a particular technological business change
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify challenges and help formulate analytical solutions
  • Attained a Project Management certification (beneficial - not a prerequisite)
