Application Support Analyst - London / Leeds / Manchester / Rugby

A multi-billion-pound insurance company is looking for a talented analyst to join their applications department. The team oversee close to 100 distinct applications with a very wide geography of users. Within a Microsoft environment of IAS front-end and SQL Server back-end, you will join a really approachable team who will provide the opportunity to upskill your own abilities. They are open to backgrounds of Technical Business Analysts, Business Systems Analysts and more hands-on Development individuals, the core fundamental being that you can demonstrate experience of supporting and owning applications.

Attitude and mindset will be the most important trait of the successful individual. You will be analytical and a good problem-solver - the team will ensure to upskill you on any gaps in your previous knowledge. The goal is to take on someone with the right approach and potential, to then grow them into an SME of their Tier 1 applications. This will be a business/customer-facing position where great communication skills will be needed.

Flexible remote working policy with 2 days per week required in the office in any of four main locations: London, Leeds Manchester and Rugby.


  • Requirements gathering and documentation using Confluence and JIRA
  • Have an analytic nature, considering wider impact of requirements on existing systems
  • Support a wide range of applications including Sales & Marketing, Law Practice management, Insurance Policy systems and more
  • Investigate and support Service Desk Incidents relaying to Applications issues
  • Proactive and inquisitive consideration for improving services to wider business


  • Experience in application ownership and support
  • Solid understanding of Windows Servers (AD, Azure, IIS, Certificates)
  • Good relationship management with wider business and ownership of work
  • Wider knowledge around general AD, Networks and Security
  • Ability in T-SQL, stored procedures and SSRS would be a significant advantage
