Application Specialist - O365

Application Specialist is required for a professional services firm based in Bedfordshire for ongoing development, maintenance, and improvement of the IT systems and services of the company. The role will be taking care of the firm's applications and processes and translating this into usable functionalities.

The successful candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the IT department and the ability to effectively act as a key communicator with users, team members, and the department. The role is a bridge between the business and the IT department ensuring a rapid response to problems, ideas, issues, and queries raised, as well as occasionally required to participate in department projects.

Main responsibilities:

• Configuring, testing, implementing, and optimizing new and existing applications and the functionalities they provide
• Monitoring the performance of the applications and interfaces
• Informing the users about important changes and updates
• Monitoring the Office 365 application wheel, identifying applications and features that can be used for utilization against specific business processes
• Provide technical support to users and the IS department

Proven background/experience across:

• 2-3 years of experience in an IT application role with very strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Applications
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Microsoft technical and Office stack
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users
• Excellent communications skills and good team player
• Prioritizing work effectively and working under pressure
