Vision and Values
Pioneer started with typical agency start-up, one recruiter, a laptop and over a decade’s worth of expertise with one distinct advantage, that recruiter had already built a successful business having learnt from many of the growing pains start-ups typically feel! One became two very quickly and the journey was well under way with a focus around keeping things simple, doing a great job, working with some of the most interesting and demanding businesses and attracting the best talent from all over the globe.
The name Pioneer was born from what our founder Mark felt he stood for in the world of talent attraction and fulfilment. Bold, Leading, Original, Experimental, Speculator, Champion, Breaking boundaries and Discovery.
Today we have five specialist teams that sit across our combined 40 years' of expertise in talent mobility.
All divisions operate globally, with a particular focus across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
We're proud of our standards and want to make sure every placement we make is the right one for both candidate and client. Of all of our placements made since 2018 95% completed their full contract or got extended and stayed within their permanent positions for a year or more.

A personal service We take time to meet you and get to know you, so we can fully understand your business, your company culture and precisely what it is you need. We also get to know each candidate individually. It is only by doing this that we can successfully match the two.
Meticulous screening We thoroughly vet all candidates and rigorously interview them, so we can really get to know their personality, qualities and experience. Rest assured that we will never bombard you with CVs: we will only send you details of candidates who are exactly right for the role.
A straight-talking approach We’re honest, open people who tell it how it is. Our ethos is based on always being straightforward in our approach. We find it builds mutual respect that forms the basis of many long-standing business relationships.
Pre-employment screening If you don’t have the resources in-house, we can undertake full pre-employment screening, including proof of right to work in the UK, proof of address, up to 10-years’ work history, criminal history search, credit and fraud checks, limited company searches, directors’ searches and terrorist checks.
Contractors who are well looked after as part of our contractor care programme, we will always handle any changes to the contract (such as renewals and extensions), reducing the administrative burden on you. We will also explain your timesheet and billing process to the contractors, so they can fully focus on their assignment, right from day one.
Detailed and accurate contracts We take contracts very seriously and make it our business to ensure that all parties are fully protected at all times. That’s why we go to APSco. They are specialists in recruitment, employment and contract law who are renowned for being the best in the industry.
